Distance CircleRun a race tracked on BuffaloRunners.com that is
"1m" wedge: 1.0 to 1.09 miles long
"5k" wedge: 3.1 to 3.99 miles
"10k" wedge: 6.2 to 6.60 miles
"13.1" wedge: 13.1 to 26.19 miles
"26.2" wedge: 26.2 to 30.99 miles
"50k" wedge: 31.0 to 49.99 miles
"50m" wedge: 50.0 to 99.99 miles
"100m" wedge: 100.0 or more miles
Quantity StarRun the following number of races tracked on BuffaloRunners.com:
"5" shard: 5..24 races in a given year
"25" shard: 25..49 races in a given year
"50" shard: 50..74 races in a given year
"75" shard: 75..99 races in a given year
"100" shard: 100+ races in a given year
Note that shards are cumulative. If you run 100 BuffaloRunners races in the span of one year, you earn the entire star.
Races Per Day Triangle Excluding track series races (where you don't have to travel between races), and tracked on BuffaloRunners.com:
"3" shard: run three races in one day
"4" shard: run four races in one day
"5" shard: run five or more races in one day
Each shard must be earned on a separate day, and shards are not cumulative. So if you run five races in one day, you don't earn the "3" and "4" patch (unless you have previously run five or more races in a day.)
Trail/XC CircleRun a BuffaloRunners.com-tracked race:
"trail" semicircle: Run a race listed as trail.
"XC" semicircle: Run a race listed as cross-country.
Chip MonkeyRun the BuffaloRunners.com 10K and Buffalo Runners 6hr Distance Classic(formerly BPAC) and support this invaluable running resource.
Most PhotogenicStrike your best pose, goof off, or otherwise make a fool of yourself while Sarah is photographing a race. One or two folks a month are chosen.
Frozen FourRun all the Frozen Four series races: (Freezer 5K in December of prior year, Frozen Chozen, Mr. Ed's, Sprague Brook Scramble snowshoe race)
Heart Rate UpRefer to HeartRateUp.com for a complete list of races.
For solo races like Freezer or EVL 9, simply run the race to earn that races' chevron.
For series race like Jackrabbit or Dirt Devil, you must run every race in the series to earn the chevron.
Eastern GripRun ALL the Eastern Grip series in a year. When you run one of these races, you MUST run the longest distance offered. (Allegany Adventure(27K), Ontario Summit(half marathon), EVL 9(9 mile), 8 in the Rough(8.7 mile), Marilla(14 mile), Ridge Walk and Run(25K), Dam Good(14 mile))
StridersRun a set list of Lancaster Striders-run races in a given Calendar year(Bunny Hop, Chris Griswold, Run for Row, Strider Glider)
VeteransRun a set list of armed forces/"veterans" races in a given Calendar year(Darren Manzella-Lapiera, Homeless Female Vets, Veterans 5k/10k, Run with the PAC)
PACNEW in 2018 - Run a set list of Polish Athletic Club-run races in a given Calendar year (Feel the Spirit, Run the Burg, Loughrans, Run with the PAC, Freezer)
Oh CanadaNEW in 2018 - Run a set list of races in Canada in a given Calendar year (TBD)
Half Marathon ChallengeTO BE RETIRED in 2019. Run at least twelve half marathons in one calendar year. (Not necessarily tracked on BuffaloRunners.com, and not limited to New York state.)

Half Marathon Challenge COINTO BE RETIRED in 2019. (Stretch goal) Run one half marathon in each month of the calendar year. (Not necessarily tracked on BuffaloRunners.com, and not limited to New York state.)
Four SeasonRETIRED for 2018. (Refer to the Events page. Run at least one "Monthly Committed" feature race(Road or Trail) in each of the four seasons. We post about this in our Facebook group, to assist those shooting for this patch.)
Destination DistanceRETIRED for 2018. (Run at least one half-marathon or longer race outside of New York state. Frequently not tracked on BuffaloRunners.com)
Covered BridgesRETIRED for 2018. (Run the Covered Bridges Half in Swanzey, New Hampshire)
